OTTOsonics is an ongoing initiative run by a collective of sound artists, developers, and engineers dedicated to making immersive audio accessible to artists, performers, and cultural institutions. As an open platform, OTTOsonics helps artists overcome the technical and creative challenges of integrating immersive sound into their work. We support the exchange of methods, from production to implementation, and share artistic and technological expertise across acoustic and electronic music.

Our home base and main event venue, Alter Bauhof, is located in Ottenheim, Upper Austria. It is currently undergoing complete renovation and is scheduled to be finished by the end of May 2026. The venue will feature a permanently installed ambisonics system of up to 5th order, which will be available for residencies and concerts.
